Bruce Cook is a certified teacher, PK-12 school administrator, and educator of many years. He is the owner of SchoolImprovementTips.com, a website devoted to supporting New Principals and other aspiring school leaders, across the U.S. and even around the world. (He’s been off-the-grid for a bit as he’s been dealing with a parent falling ill and passing away, getting divorced, and moving to help take care of the other very elderly parent.) Life happens…
He has worked at several different schools where he was successful at raising student achievement (and yes… test scores) and helping schools get accredited that had not been accredited for several years. He has tried throughout his entire career to keep the focus on improving schools and the experience for students, not just raising test scores. He believes he did both and so can you.
When he’s not working on improving schools, he enjoys hiking, traveling, riding his motorcycle and entertaining students with his lame jokes. He enjoys trying to convince his friends to go on adventures with him. He also spends quite a bit of time trying to keep up with his two wonderful children: Logan and Lauren.
This website is dedicated to helping you become a better school leader. You can check out his strategies for making schools better for kids by helping both teachers and school leaders in the following pages.
